Services We Provide...

The Office of Curricular Affairs and Faculty Support is devoted to ensuring that the preclinical and clinical curricula meet the ever changing needs of students as well as the standards set by the accrediting board for medical schools.  Various duties include oversight of master course schedules and course evaluations; classroom allocation; patient encounter and technical standards attainment tracking; and coordination of the Standardized Patient Program, Introduction to Clinical Medicine, and Capstone Month.  The very popular Senior Mentoring Program, in which students are paired with community-dwelling elders for completion of a variety of assignments such as taking medical histories and monitoring blood pressures, is another responsibility of the Office.  Other services include academic counseling, accommodations for students with special needs, and faculty support both with electronic classroom equipment and with instructional material development.
